Weekly Photo Challenge: Light
I admit that I missed the previous challenge last week, not because I didn’t have any photo, but I was just simply busy occupied by a writing competition, and thus I forgot it! 😆
This week photo challenge’s theme is LIGHT!
This photo was taken last evening, when my village got no power. It took about 2 hours started at 7 pm. My little brother and his friend had a homework to do which embroiled them into a such a studying in the dark.
Most of houses in Indonesia, esp. in village must have kerosene lamp as substitute of light whenever the power have been cut for awhile. It’s surely annoying, but as you see, it couldn’t discourage students, e.g. my brother to keep studying.
Simply touchy for me wondering how hard people a long-long time ago lived without electricity. Utterly miserable for everyone, for students as well, but no reason to stop studying. As long as they have light, however weak it is, it would become a really big help, and they shouldn’t ever give up to such a situation.
Should be a gratitude having nice light like now, isn’t it? 🙂
